John Giampolo – CEO (Total business management experience: 48 years)
John attended the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He was the Senior Vice President of the New Jersey Hospital Association Group Purchasing Program for thirteen years representing 118 hospitals. In June 1988, he incorporated the Independent Pharmacy Alliance, a retail-buying group serving 1,000 independent pharmacies in New Jersey. Over the last 29 years, IPA has independently evolved into a multi-regional comprehensive trade group and buying cooperative offering discount agreements and support services for more than 3,100 independent pharmacies in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
Daniel S. Levine R.Ph. – Corporate Director of Pharmacy Services (Total pharmacy & purchasing related experience: 40 years)
A licensed pharmacist since 1980, he has practiced in retail, hospital and managed care pharmacy. Dan managed a pharmaceutical purchasing and distribution center for HIP Health Plan of New Jersey for 4 1/2 years. Since 1999, Dan has managed IPA’s Generic Source Programs, as well as the ACPE accreditation for live Continuing Education Programs. Dan is also our HIPAA Compliance Officer.
Kathleen A. Fuller – Corporate Director of Operations (Total health care & group purchasing related experience: 35 years)
Kathy spent 7 years with the New Jersey Hospital Association Group Purchasing Program in Princeton, NJ. Since 1988, her responsibilities as Director of Operations include managing and developing vendor agreements, marketing, vendor support, member services and internal operations.
Anthony Reznik – Director of Governmental Affairs (Total government & public affairs experience: 20 years)
Anthony has a diverse and experienced background in government, political and public affairs and will provide new leadership to aggressively protect the public policy interests of independent pharmacies while promoting the value of the industry through greater public outreach and valuable alliances. Most recently he served as Legislative Aide to NJ Senate President, Stephen Sweeney. Prior to that, he served as Chief of Staff for the NJ Senate Majority Leader Barbara Buono. His past professional experience includes marketing strategies for pharmaceutical products for Aventis, Eli Lilly, Boehringer Ingelheim, and more.
Heather Rodgers – Senior Member Services Administrator (Total 3rd party & pharmacy experience: 23 years)
An employee since June 2003, Heather is IPA’s full time employee dedicated to handle all third party issues including reimbursement, MAC pricing and audits on behalf of our members. Heather has extensive pharmacy experience through her positions at Horizon/Mercy and with both chain and independent pharmacies. Her knowledge of the inner workings of the third parties gives her an edge in resolving issues on behalf of the pharmacy.
Laura Sondej – Senior Executive Administrator (Total business experience: 33 years)
An employee of IPA since 1998, Laura was hired originally as the Administrative Assistant for the LifeCare Nutrition Center. She has since advanced to the position of Senior Executive Administrator providing support for the Legislative and Generic Divisions and to the President. She also helps coordinate CE programs and is responsible for the office’s day-to-day internal operations.
